Today is the day!
What a long road it’s been. Thank you for supporting Thirst Boston by tuning in today! Below are the links to join each class, you’ll be asked to sign in, but today’s programming is 100% available for free. Since our team spent double the time putting on the festival, and are no longer counting on ticket sales, we have created a ticket that helps you support us.
If you’d like to support our staff (and Off Their Plate) you can do so here.
You’ll need to sign in to all our webinars, it’s important for us to know who is in the room! Don’t worry, it will only take a second and then you’ll get right in.
You’ve heard the history, you’ve heard the speculation about the future, but this historic moment, today, is what lies between. We’ll explore obsessive tradition, obsessive innovation, and how we got here. Led by The Global Rum Ambassador Ian Burrell, Master Blender of Foursquare Richard Seale, Zan Kong of Worth Park Estate, Benjamin Mélin-Jones of Spiribam, and Maggie Campbell of Privateer Rum.
Join Stephanie Teslar, cocktail queen and Mixologist from Tequila Patrón, and Oscar Ruiz, chef at El Centro in Boston’s South End, to elevate your at-home Taco and Tequila Game! You’ll learn how to make homemade tortillas–once you make them fresh, you may never go back!–as well as tricks and tips for delicious Tequila cocktails including the Paloma Tonic and the Mexican Sazerac. – Find recipes and ingredients list here
Dreaming of being transported to the Italian countryside but finding it hard to make it past the couch? Us too! Join Livio Lauro on a virtual Italian vacation with stopovers all around the boot to enjoy the food, culture, and, yes, spirits in each region, while learning about what (or who!) makes them special. Find a list of Italian approved cocktails here
Come one, come all and test your cocktail and spirits knowledge at Cocktail Trivia! Grab a team (5 people max) and sign up for a chance to hang with other cocktail nerds and win prizes!
How it Works:
Cocktail Trivia will have a little something for everyone, so grab a team of up to 5 people. There’s no need to all be in the same place, as long as you and your teammates can communicate with one another. Everyone will tune-in individually for the trivia presentation, and your team captain will submit answers on everyone’s behalf. Your team will register with your Team Name once you ‘arrive’ at trivia.
How Do We Win?
We’ll award prizes to the top three teams, first place team gets $250 and an Italian Grand Prize, second place, $150 and third $100. You’ll have the option to take the cash, or donate to a charity. Each round of trivia will have points awarded for correct answers, and the highest scores will win.
Do You Need to Live in Boston?
If we can find one bright spot in all of this, it’s that for the first time ever Thirst Boston is available to everyone, no matter their location. As long as you can tune in to trivia, you can participate!
