Step back in time to Boston’s seedy past and hear tales from the dive bar dark side, straight from a man who drank in these spots some forty years ago. Brother Cleve reprises his wildly popular walking tour of Boston’s cocktail history, from Chinatown Tiki bars to Combat Zone music venues, mobster hangouts and strip joints, the site of The Cocoanut Grove (the worst nightclub fire in US history), and the demimonde of gay and lesbian bars in the Zone and Bay Village. For a finale, enjoy a Dewar’s cocktail at one of the last remaining dive bars in the city. During the tour, you’ll learn about the spirits and cocktails popular during the mid-20th century as well as the iconic locations that served them up.
